Psychology consultation fees are:

Standard Consult

                        $280

Short Consult

$150

Reports & Letters

$280 per hour

If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, your out-of-pocket (gap fee) is $186.65 for a standard consult (current as of January 2024).

Note: A standard consult is 50 minutes, and a short consult is 20-30 minutes.

We use evidence-based therapeutic techniques matched to the client’s unique circumstances. Psychological therapy modalities may include:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
  • Supportive Psychotherapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Mindfulness
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • Depth Psychology (Jungian Psychotherapy)

Some common themes in therapy include:

Regretful life decisions, lack of meaningful life purpose, feeling alone/loneliness, challenges of being ‘introvert’, relationship problems, infidelity, challenges of ‘coming out’ as LGBTQ+ , processing a traumatic experience, returning to life after Near-Death-Experience/NDE, end-of-life processing (including death & dying exploration, terminal illness processing, spiritual-religious exploration), desire for control, distorted thinking, difficulty being vulnerable, shame, insecurity, imposter syndrome, wanting things to be different, lacking self-compassion, self-exploration and personal growth.

Adelaide Psychology does not provide a crisis service.

If you are in crisis, and able to do so, present to your local Emergency Department for assessment and treatment. If you cannot access your local ED, ring 000 for immediate assistance.

The following services offer various levels of assistance:

What payment methods do you accept?2024-01-14T23:53:33+00:00

We accept VISA and Mastercard, BPay, bank transfer (EFT) and cash. We also accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Prepayment of the full fee is required for your first consultation. Subsequent fees are payable on the day of your consultation.

Medicare: If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, we will lodge this for you as a direct online claim. Rebates are typically in your bank account within 24 hours. With any issues please contact Medicare directly.

Private Health: A receipt will be provided upon payment that you can submit to your insurer.

What is your cancellation and non-attendance policy?2024-02-02T07:29:46+00:00

We require at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. This will give others in need of an appointment an opportunity to attend. If you cannot attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.

Non-attendance/Late Cancellation Policy: Appointments that are missed, forgotten, cancelled or changed within 24 hours incur a full cancellation fee.

Note: Cancellation fees are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
